St Johnstone Fruitless effort

- SJ

All credit to the Albion Rovers and Saints supporters whose efforts to get the game on proved to be fruitless. How much more can a club expect of their supporters than to give up their time to work physically early on a Saturday morning, more in hope than expectation, to have an afternoon cup-tie to watch.

Saturday’s match was clearly just as eagerly looked forwarded to by the “Wee Rovers” supporters as it was by 1020 Saints fans who had been able to get tickets.

Those who enjoy big games under floodlights have Tuesday night to look forward to. With the Killie game postponed due to the cup-tie taking precedence and heavy rain forecast, Saints face an extended winter break. Let’s hope not.
