Apology after headstones removed

-

A charity has said sorry for the removal of headstones from a cemetery at a former children’s home.

It is thought about 80 headstones were taken away from the cemetery at the Quarriers home in Renfrewshire sometime in the 1960s.

Senior figures at the charity have said they plan to have them put back.

The cemetery in Bridge of Weir is currently marked by a commemorative plaque.
