Burns Unbroke

However fitting our annual celebrations of Burns’s Night may be, the event is nevertheless not usually associated with new art. Burns Unbroke sets out to put that right. It is a new multi-arts festival devoted to contemporary interpretations of the poet’s life and work. More than 30 artists are involved. They include well-known names like Calum Colvin, Douglas Gordon, Graham Fagen, Kenny Hunter and David Mach. Others may be less well-known, but together they promise to offer us a novel take on our national bard.
