The new season of the police drama following the early career of Colin Dexter’s Endeavour Morse has moved to 1968 and reform is sweeping through the service as Oxford City Police is merged into the new Thames Valley force. Morse, played once again by Shaun Evans, has been recently promoted to detective sergeant and finds that along with trying to solve the attempted theft of a Fabergé egg and murder of an Oxford-based gangster, also has to mentor George Fancy, a young detective played by Lewis Peek.
