Poetry festival to celebrate work for children
One of Scotland’s leading poetry festivals will offer a programme of work aimed specifically at children as part of efforts to mark the Year of Young People.
Organisers of Stanza, which takes place in St Andrews, said the event would see former Makar Liz Lochhead share her favourite poems both old and new for family-friendly show Bairnsangs.
Regarded as one of the top festivals of its kind in the UK, Stanza will take place over five days from 7 to 11 March, and will feature more than 90 readings, performances and discussions.
