Seeing double: Model carries an identical fake head at Milan Fashion Week ‘operations’ show

A model carries a fake “severed head” modelled on her own as she wears a creation as part of the Gucci women’s Fall/winter 2018-19 collection, presented during Milan Fashion Week. The runway was set up as an operating theatre for the show which also featured models sporting an extra eyeball in the middle of their foreheads and another carrying a small dragon.

Fashion experts mused on what the message was behind the show. Magazine Vogue said: “Let’s call it a metaphor for carrying the spiritual burden of one’s own evolution and self-awareness.”
