With the season continuing to slip away from us and little in the way of succour on the pitch, the news that United have sold the GA Arena feels like we are starting to sell off the family silver.

Gussie Park is the home of Dundee United’s youth academy and community hub. Its redevelopment has in part been funded by some of the club’s supporters groups including ARABTRUST, Federation DUSC and Dundee United Business Club. The sale, to director Mike Martin, is further indication of the club’s perilous financial position and it is no exaggeration to suggest we are sleepwalking towards the same fate that befell our noisy neighbours across the road. The time for action is now and the fans must have one banner to rally round.
