Dead teenager named as police make arrest

A teenager who died after he was found unconsciou­s in Dumfries and Galloway has been named by police.

Calum Lumb, 17, passed away in hospital after he was found at an address in Moffat High Street at about 9pm on Monday.

Police said a 15-yearold boy has been arrested in relation to the matter. Officers are investigat­ing the circumstan­ces of the death and are carrying out a forensic examinatio­n of the property.

Chief Inspector Stephen Stiff said: “Officers are continuing inquiries into the circumstan­ces surroundin­g this tragic death.”
