Dunfermline Heroic groundsman

We should have had a home match on 18 February, but Inverness were otherwise engaged (in the Irn-bru Cup). As a result, we are going a ludicrous seven weeks without a match at East End.

There has been heroic action of another sort with board members and staff tackling burst pipes and drifting snow, which had caused damage not least to the dressing rooms. Groundsman Kevin was mopping up until 11pm but only after he finished delivering prescriptions to housebound OAPS.

It is galling that the Irn-bru Cup (semi-final gates of 825 and 1,044) has trumped important league games. It’s March and some Dunfermline players still haven’t played at home!
