Huck the stolen tortoise found safe in park

A stolen tortoise has been returned to his home after being found in a park.

Red-footed tortoise Huck was taken from Edinburgh Butterfly and Insect World in Lasswade last month with staff worried for his health without the special lamps and diet he relies on.

Police Scotland and the Scottish SPCA were involved in the search for the eight-year-old animal who was found by a dog walker in an Edinburgh park.

Huck was checked over by a vet and has now been microchipped.

Police are still trying to trace who took the tortoise.
