Drager hails North Sea safety work fillip to sales

0 Company has secured contracts worth more than £3 million following diversific­ation Drager Safety UK, the Aberdeen marine and offshore safety equipment supplier, has won contracts of more than £3 million after branching out into training service areas focused on the North Sea.

The group reveals today that the contracts won late last year and early this year have ridden on the back of “real signs that the upturn the industry has been anticipati­ng is materialis­ing”.

Drager Safety UK’S sales director Alex Duthie hailed a “step change” in training for rescue teams through its Opito-certified assessment centre in Aberdeen,.

It includes a confined-space skills evaluation area which candidates must learn to negotiate in full rescue gear, including oxygen tanks and air masks.

Duthie said substantia­l increases in revenue had also come in the second half of 2017 through essential safety training undertaken at client premises or on location offshore.
