Underwater search after car crashes in loch

-

Emergency services called to a Highland loch after a car was reported to have left the road and gone into the water.

The incident took place yesterday at Little Loch Broom in Wester Ross.

Police Scotland said the alarm was raised at about 3:45pm.

It was not known whether there was anyone in the vehicle when it left the A832, near Ardessie, and plunged into the water.

Coastguard volunteers from Ullapool and Gairloch were assisting the emergency services, and the road was closed while searches were carried out.
