Hibernian Mcginn missed

-

Hibernian could easily refute any accusations of being a one-man team, as we have quality in every department these days. However, the loss through suspension of John Mcginn robbed us of his driving force against Partick. The Jags looked hungrier and quicker to the ball in the first half, and the lacklustre performance from the home team showed only moderate improvement after the break.

The lucky escape of the Partick offside goal (which TV evidence suggests ought to have stood) seemed to spur Hibs on, although to then go almost straight up the park to score was cruel on the away side. Thereafter, there only looked one winner, and the eventual two-goal margin of victory could have been wider.
