The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to her third child – and second son. Weighing in at 8lbs 7oz, the baby boy was born at 11.01 yesterday and has been at the centre of a media storm since his arrival. @renforth_darren wrote: “Congratula­tions to Prince William and Princess Kate. Welcome to the world baby number three.” @lucywriter said: “Poor Kate, I don’t envy her having to attend the wedding of the century three weeks postpartum.” @jenlou5566 added: “Am I the only one that is peeved at having one’s programmes on TV disturbed because a woman gave birth?”

A chef who collapsed and died during the London Marathon has been named. Matt Campbell, 29, reached the semifinals of Masterchef: The Profession­als, this year. @Philipgoos­e paid his condolence­s: “Very sad news about Matt Campbell – a 2:56 runner at Manchester two weeks ago, it shows it can happen to speedy guys too.” @lakeswoodl­ands commented: “So so sad to hear the death of Matt Campbell, such a talent and truly nice man, heart goes out to family.” @Bigkev67 said: “Bloke dies while running the London Marathon – in which he was raising money in memory of his dad who’d died 18 months prior.
