Sage swings axe on senior staff

British tech firm Sage Group has axed 30 executives as part of plans to “simplify” the organisation amid a sales slowdown.

The company said it had “exited” the senior staff in order to speed up decision-making and improve accountability. Sage booked a 5 per cent fall in pre-tax profit to £171 million in the half-year to the end of March.
