# LOCKERBIE

Scotland is to review the conviction of the only man found guilty of the 1988 Lockerbie aircraft bombing, Abdel Basset al- Megrahi, to decide whether to allow his family to launch a fresh appeal. The review comes six years after al- Megrahi’s death. @ Aameranwar said: “After three years of fighting for the case to be reopened – ‘ Lockerbie bomber ’ Megrahi conviction to be reviewed – we welcome today’s announceme­nt but there is still a long road ahead in the pursuit of justice.” @ fitzscroun­ger added: “Hopefully evidence and truth and not geopolitic­s will determine the outcome.” @ Yescafeeds­outh commented: “Good to see the Lockerbie Bomber verdict being challenged, it was a bad piece of political interferen­ce which blackened the good name of Scottish justice.” @ johnclim said: “A bit late, don’t you think?” @ davidleawo­rthy wondered: “What’s the point? The data analytics firm, which was under investigat­ion for the misuse of Facebook user data, has filed for insolvency in the UK and bankruptcy in the US – its executives have moved to new firm Emerdata Limited. @ Damiancoll­ins demanded: “Cambridge Analytica and SCL group cannot be allowed to delete their data history by closing.
