Trump and truth

-

Telling the truth is always the best option – straight away. The first president George Washington’s quote :“I cannot tell a lie. I cut the tree” may be a myth, but it should be a truth in everyone’s life – especially subsequent presidents.

The Rudy Giuliani disclosure that the buck, or $130,000 of them, stops with the president opens a minefield of concerns, legal, moral and political.

There is a need for open leadership by a president whose life is an open book, not a collection of stories that could be the basis for a House of Cards season.

Perhaps the words of dwight D. Eisenhower provide a suggestion: “The supreme quality of leadership is integrity.”
