Two-car crash closes popular coastal road

The East Lothian coastal route was closed after a two-car collision yesterday.

The crash happened at about 2:20pm between Longniddry Bents and Seton Sands on the B1348.

Motorists were urged to use the A198 through Longniddry and Drem while emergency services cleared the scene.

It is understood there were no serious injuries as a result of the collision.

Police reopened the road at about 5pm. A spokeswoman said: “Police were called to a road traffic accident involving two vehicles on the B1348.”
