Elderly woman upset by theft of garden gnomes

Police are appealing for information after 37 garden gnomes were stolen from an elderly woman’s garden in Arbroath.

The gnomes were taken from the woman’s front garden in Brechin Road.

A police spokesman said the victim had been left upset by the theft and asked people to call 101.

They added: “If someone has taken them as a prank or because they think it is funny, we can assure them that it is not.”
