Helen Mirren walks the red carpet to attend the screening of ‘Girls Of The Sun (Les Filles Du Soleil)’ during the 71st annualcannesfilmfestivalat Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France. On Saturday, film stars held a protest against genderbased discrimination in the industry. A total of 82 women, including Cate Blanchett, Kristen Stewart and Salma Hayek, held an equality protest on the red carpet at the event, which has run since 1946. The actresses, female jury members, directors and producers, linked arms to stroll along the carpet. The event, which began last Tuesday, runs until next weekend.
