Delivering the goods:g Ocado seals fifth international d eal, with US grocery firm

Online grocer Ocado has announced its fifth international deal, with US grocery retailer Kroger. Under the terms of the agreement, Ocado’s technology will be used in the US exclusively by Kro - ger, with the US firm also taking a 5 per cent stake in the London- listed group. The duo are work - ing to identify the first three sites in 2018 for the development of new “automated” warehouses in the US and will ramp it up to a total of 20 over the first three years of the agreement. Ocado, whose shares jumped, expects the earnings impact of the announcement to be neutral this year.
