Spin-off plans at property group

Property firm Capital & Counties is considering spinning off its Covent Garden sites in London as a separately listed company.

It said the Covent Garden estate had been independently valued at more than £2.5 billion, with its share of the site worth £759 million. If Capco goes ahead with the demerger, it would leave its Earls Court assets as the core of its business.
