Pride of placement: Students prepare to set off on prestigious Saltire internships

Students from Scotland are to start various placements through Entrepreneurial Scotland’s Saltire Scholar Internship Programme after a record number of applications. The 2018 cohort is 64 per cent female, and the largest since the programme began 11 years ago. This year, 170 students from 15 universities will take part, undertaking internships of eight to 12 weeks in Scotland, England, India, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the US, Canada, Australia, and Japan. Hosts this year include Edinburgh Airport, Glaxosmithkline, American Express, Liberty Mutual, and Cisco.
