Firms ‘should engage with young people for growth’

0 KPMG has partnered with Scottish Ballet to help pupils in Govanhill benefit from the arts Scotland’s business community must make the most of 2018 being Scotland’s Year of Young People to help “cultivate” their next generation of customers, according to an independen­t charity.

Arts & Business Scotland commented in advance of the latest of a series of networking events uniting representa­tives from the arts, heritage and business communitie­s to consider the benefits of closer collaborat­ion.

The next event takes place on 15 June, and attendees will hear first-hand about three partnershi­ps between business and cultural organisati­ons such as profession­al services firm KPMG having partnered with Scottish Ballet for a second consecutiv­e year to help pupils in Govanhill.

Catherine Burnet, senior partner for KPMG in Scotland, said: “For culture to continue to thrive, we need to give the next generation of young Scots the opportunit­y to experience the arts and how it can expand their horizons and enrich their lives.”
