Blindsided: Exhibition highlights impact of loss of sight on soldiers in the First World War

Lance Corporal David Timmins with The Shell, one of five lithographs on display at Kelvingrove Art Gallery to illustrate the experience of soldiers blinded in the First World War.
The Scottish War Blinded charity has helped ensure the work by Frank Brangwyn in 1915 is accessible to the blind.
Lance Corporal Timmins lost an eye in Afghanistan in 2009 while with the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team.
