Mother’s plea over medical marijuana
The mother of an epileptic boy at the centre of a debate over medical marijuana in the UK is calling for an urgent meeting with ministers to discuss liberalising British policy.
Charlotte Caldwell said she wants assurances from the government that her 12-yearold son Billy will be able to continue receiving cannabis oil once an emergency supply approved by the government runs out.
Billy remains in hospital for seizures after border agents confiscated cannabis oil from Canada.
