Lift off after Dart profits double up

Shares in the group behind airline Jet2 have taken off after it nearly doubled profits and signalled that more good news is to come.

Dart Group, which operates a range of leisure and logistics businesses, said yesterday that its profit before tax has soared by 49 per cent to £134.6 million in the year ended 31 March. Revenues jumped 38 per cent to £2.39 billion.
