Man charged with ter­ror­ism of­fences

A right-wing ex­trem­ist who was caught with a bomb-mak­ing kit dur­ing a call-out to the death of a teenage woman in Ed­in­burgh has been found guilty of ter­ror­ism of­fences.

Peter Morgan’s flat was searched on 5 July 2017 af­ter the young woman col­lapsed.

Po­lice found ex­plo­sive pow­der and other ma­te­ri­als to con­struct a “quite ef­fec­tive, vi­able” im­pro­vised ex­plo­sive de­vice.

Dur­ing the search of Morgan’s home in Tay­lor Place, Ed­in­burgh, of­fi­cers also found a Nazi swastika flag and far-right lit­er­a­ture.
