Town centre at a standstill after shop blaze
Part of Dumfries town centre was closed for more than four hours after a fire broke out in a clothes shop.
Police shut part of the High Street as firefighters tackled a blaze in Dorothy Perkins and Burton on Saturday.
The alarm was raised at 4.43pm and firefighters only left the scene shortly after 8.30pm.
Police Scotland said nobody was hurt in the incident and the cordon was lifted at about 9pm.
