Victims injured during knife attack in van

Two men were attacked with a knife after two people smashed the window of the van they were sitting in.

The victims, aged 28 and 36, were in a silver Renault Trafic van in Weir Street in Greenock, Inverclyde, when the attack happened on Saturday afternoon.

Police are appealing for informatio­n about the incident which happened between 4:30 and 4:45pm.

Two suspects damaged the windows of the vehicle and assaulted both men with a knife.

One was treated for a stab wound and the other for laceration­s. They were released after treatment.
