CCTV released after two attacked

Police in Edinburgh investigating an attack on two people have released CCTV images of a man they want to track down in relation to the inquiry. The appeal has been issued following the incident in the Fountain bridge area on 27 May.

The female victim was walking in the street just after midnight when a man approached and assaulted her.

Another man intervened but was also attacked and suffered a serious injury to the face, police said.

The suspect then made off towards Slateford.
