High spirits

Just when you thought we had reached peak gin, another festival pops up in celebration of the seemingly endlessly popular spirit.

Nicholson’s Gin Festival features 40 gins across 77 historic pubs until 2 September.

Find it in Edinburgh hostelries including The Conan Doyle and The Mitre Bar and in Glasgow’s Drum And Monkey. Gins hailing from as far afield as Japan to South Africa make up the mouth-watering menu, including a very special limitededition collaboration with Cornish distillery Tarquin’s Gin.
