Man’s body is found two weeks after vanishing

A man’s body has been found in an East Renfrewshire house more than two weeks after he was last seen.

Police found the body of 37-year-old Leigh Mccracken at a property on Anderson Drive in Newton Mearns at about 2:30pm on Friday.

His death is being treated as unexplained following a post mortem.

Mr Mccracken was last seen on 25 July at Eastwood Health Centre.

Police are trying to piece together his final movements and urged anyone with information to contact them.
