Driver robbed of car at knifepoint in broad daylight

A man has been robbed of his car at knifepoint.

The 52-year-old man was driving a white Jaguar along Flemington Road, Cambuslang, Lanarkshire, at 3pm on Saturday when he was flagged down by a man standing next to a silver Ford Focus. The robber claimed to have a puncture and asked for a lift, before pulling out a knife.

He demanded the victim leave the car and took him to a nearby field where he ordered him to lie down.

The suspect made off in the Jaguar and a second man drove off in the Focus.

Police are appealing for information.
