Scottish subsea technology firm secures £1.6 million contract
A subsea technology firm has secured a £1.6 million contract with an international engineering services group to supply products aimed at improving productivity and reducing downtime.
Under the agreement, Aberdeen-based STL will deliver a range of well intervention equipment to the unnamed client. Drummond Lawson, managing director at STL, said: “We are pleased to have been awarded this major contract, which we have worked hard to secure over a number of months.
“As well as being a testament to our highly skilled team and our commitment to highquality delivery, it underpins our confidence in the sector that there are still opportunities for proactive companies with the right approach.”
The contracts are the latest to be won by the firm, which works with customers in the North Sea and further afield on well intervention, control, abandonment and construction projects.
Late last year it secured two global contracts from inter- national customers worth £3.8m.
Founded in 2010 by managing director Lawson and technical director Dave Mckay, the firm now employs 30 people. Earlier this year it launched a new service to enable clients to tap into the 3D visualisation expertise the firm has developed to create high-quality animations of their own product designs. 0 ‘Underpins confidence in sector’ - Drummond Lawson
