Woman dies and three injured in two-car collision

A woman has died and three other people have been injured after a crash involving two cars in Aberdeensh­ire.

The accident happened on the A952, near the village of Mintlaw, at about 9.50pm on Thursday.

Police said a 67-year-old woman from Peterhead, who was a passenger in a black Skoda Fabia, died after it collided with a red Fiat 500. A 41-year-old woman and a 17-year-old girl are being treated for serious injuries at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. A 65-year-old man, who was driving the Skoda, was treated for minor injuries.
