Pedestrian hurt in Highlands collision on A82

A pedestrian has sustained serious injuries after being hit by a car in the Highlands.

The collision happened on the A82 in Lochaber on Monday about 4:45pm.

The incident involved a Dacia Sandero car and a female pedestrian. It happened near Loch Ba, north of Bridge of Orchy.

The 41-year-old woman was airlifted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Glasgow. Her condition is not believed to be life-threatenin­g.

No-one else was injured in the incident.

The road was closed until around 11pm on Monday.
