Red card mystery

- Barry Richmond

Saturday’s match must go down in the win Collum, for Willie and his ego. Having seen the Gary Dicker incident again I am still clueless as to how that could be construed as a red-card offence, yet Hearts’ goalkeeper shoving a player over in the box was only worthy of a chat. There are too many other instances to mention, for and against us. A draw would have been fair.

We still lack creativity in midfield, which curtails opportunities up front. We have the backbone of a good team but the addition of a Youssouf Mulumbu-type player could make a huge difference. Steve Clarke has a real job persuading players to come here with our pitch and wage budget. We can but hope that his reputation will swing a few deals our way again.
