Wing wizards

A Tayside derby in which the total number of fouls awarded did not reach double figures! I doubt this has happened before. Statistics are what you choose to make of them. Saturday proved having the majority of possession means nothing in terms of gathering points.

It is refreshing to watch wide players of the quality of Drey Wright and Matty Kennedy linking with the class of Tony Watt up front. The exciting wing play prompted memories, a few around me recalling Willie Ormond’s team which included two of the finest wingers to pull on a Saints jersey – Kenny Aird and Fred Aitken. Tommy Wright during the week called for protection for Matty Kennedy – the Dundee fullback never got close enough to foul him.
