#MAYBOT

Theresa May showed off her dance moves on her trade visit to South Africa and many Twitter users likened her moves to those of a robot. The PM was attending a reception at a school in Cape Town, where she was met by pupils singing and waving British flags.

@fizzymd said: “Theresa May confirming once and for all that she does not believe in freedom of movement.”

@lewiscoughlan added: “The dance craze will be our biggest export after #Brexit. Stiff upper limbs, chaps”

@one_mrs_k joked: “My cringe muscle just went into a spasm.”

@Davidwpoole73 tweeted: “Theresa May: Can’t dance, Can’t curtsy, Can’t answer questions, Can’t negotiate a #Brexit deal, Can’t hang on to a Parliamentary majority. Is there anything she can do ?”

@Willblackwriter posted: “We used to wonder what it was that Theresa May did in those wheatfields of yesteryear. Some assumed it was sex and drugs but we now know the truth.”

@smaguire4621 joked: “How to ruin a trade deal in 3 (Dad dance) moves.”

#USOPEN

A controversial decision has been made to hand French tennis player Alize Cornet a code violation for taking off her shirt on court. The world No.31, facing Swede Johanna Larsson at the US Open, realised she had put her top on back to front – but turned it round in seconds.

@Judymurray tweeted: “Alize Cornet came back to court after 10 minute heat break. Had her fresh shirt on back to front. Changed at back of court. Got a code violation. Unsportsmanlike conduct... But the men can change shirts on court.”

@Moviechickamy replied: “I guaran-damn-tee if Nadal had someone from his player’s box throw him a fresh shirt and he changed at the back of the court no one would be saying anything! Ridiculous double standards!”

@Showtimerhec added: “She was in a sports bra, for God’s sake. That’s ludicrous.”

@ortenzi commented: “That should totally be turned round. Or at the very least all males who did the same in the last decade be retrospectively fined.”

@Jc1on1 said: “Its because she did it on court, not sitting down during a break.. a man would be hit with same code violation as Alize Cornet if he did the exact same thing on court and not during a break.”
