Officers called to school four times in a week
Police have been called out to four incidents at a school in the space of a week.
It comes amid concerns being raised about whether Hawick High School was “safe and secure”.
Four teenagers have been charged as a result of the latest incidents between 23 August and 29 August and reports will go to the Children’s Reporter.
Scottish Borders Council said it had generally been a “very positive” start to the term. The call outs happened a fortnight into the new session. The disturbances included an assault on two adults, and a pupil in possession of a weapon.
