Universal discredit

-

Main business at only the second Prime Ministers questions (PMQS) of this Parliamentary session was a return to familiar ground, that of the roll-out of Universal Credit and the impact it is having on the vulnerable and sick.

Foodbank use four times higher in places where Universal Credit has been rolled- out, is not only staggering, it is shameful, while the Conservative Government at Westminster continue to fight among themselves like ferrets in a sack, with absolutely no concern or conscience for the vulnerable.

The Conservatives Government at their heartless best have made it more difficult for claimants by their policy of closing job centres.

This is real people suffering, that could be addressed by the Westminster Government if only they would listen to the outcries from MPS (even some on their own benches), charities and social services. How long will they have to suffer ? CATRIONA C CLARK
