Dundee United Consolation in defeat

Defeat at the weekend leaves us in the cliched position of being able to focus on the league. Whilst defeat is never really positive it was good to see the return of the club captain Fraser Fyvie. There is a significant expectation amongst the support that the skipper’s return will herald a return to the form shown in the early parts of last season. I am hoping for, more than expecting, this return to form and we face a tough challenge at home to the Ton this weekend.

On a different note it was bittersweet to see a victorious Scotland team on Monday with five ex-united players making appearances. It was a reminder that the club has produced and nurtured some top talent over the last decade, which makes our fall from grace harder to take.
