FORECAST

TODAY: Bright with some sunny spells. High cloud thickening up from the south with rain reaching Dumfries and Galloway by late afternoon and spreading to other parts in the evening, and becoming heavy. South westerly gales in the north will ease in the afternoon.

TOMORROW TO SUNDAY: Sunshine and a few showers tomorrow then mainly dry with some sunshine on Saturday. Another spell of wet and windy weather possible on Sunday.
