Glasgow Americana Festival

This small but perfectly formed country and roots festival rolls round again, showcasing Americana artists from home and abroad. Bristol country soul singer/songwriter Yola Carter opens the bill at Cottiers, Texan troubadour Kimmie Rhodes closes the festival at St Andrews in the Square and it’s well worth casting an ear over sets by New Jersey indie folkster Anthony D’amato, Australian singer/songwriter Emily Barker and UK Americana supergroup Bennett Wilson Poole, plus album launches for Glasgow artists Martha Healy, pictured above, and Starry Skies.
