Railway bridge set to reopen after six months
A key railway bridge in Stirling will re-open on 19 October – a week earlier than anticipated – as work on the multi-millionpound project completes its most significant phase.
The A905 Kerse Road has been closed since April while engineers demolished and replaced the road bridge over the railway to the south of Stirling station.
The £8 million structure will feature a wider carriageway, allowing a third lane to be added in the future to meet Stirling’s growing traffic demand. The investment comes from Network Rail.
