Oil-field firm seals string of North Sea contracts

An Aberdeen-based drilling and oil field equipment specialist has announced new deals worth more than £4 million.

MRDS, which provides repair and maintenance services to drilling contractors, has also strengthened its senior team with the appointment of a new sales director.

Ian Mcgillivray has taken on the key role to drive continued growth both in the North-east and internationally as well as support managing director Mark Robertson with the company’s long-term growth strategy.

The firm has secured new work scopes to provide inspection, repair and maintenance for several North Sea offshore installations.
