Man arrested over Blantyre shooting

A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in South Lanarkshire.

On 17 August, Graham Williamson was shot in a Blantyre garden by a man who had approached him from behind.

He managed to make his way on to the street, where he was helped by members of the public until an ambulance arrived.

The 26-year-old died a short time later in hospital.

Yesterday, police confirmed a 23- year-old man was arrested in connection with the shooting.
