- By EMMA O’NEILL

An elderly woman was restrained in her own home during a robbery in Glasgow.

The woman walked downstairs at her home in Mossbank at 3:15pm on Tuesday and found three men in the house.

One man restrained her, while the other two searched the property.

They took off with a fivefigure sum of money and a quantity of jeweller y, to a vehicle at the rear of the property, and left via Royston Road.

The woman did not require medical treatment, but was left badly shaken.

The three men all wore balaclavas and were dressed in black.

Police officers have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries and are reviewing CCTV footage.

Detective Sergeant Shona Beattie said “treasured” jewellery had been stolen.
