# COVIDRULES

Holidaymakers are said to be totally confused by the differing quarantine rules around the UK.

@ Rclinz wrote: “Time to roll back some of the devolved powers to ensure a consistent approach to UK wide issues?”

@ Enaidsofren tweeted: “Wales and Scotland reached a different conclusion to England using the same data for a simple reason. Wales and Scotland have prioritised the health of their people and England prioritised the profitability of business.”

@ Petersco04 said: “How ironic that you can’t come from the Algarve, with a low infection rate, to Wales without isolating but it is OK to travel from Leeds, which has a high infection rate.”

@ Fran115 wrote: “Where’s the sense, they can get a flight back to Gatwick etc, and then fly from Gatwick or Heathrow to Scotland or train it to Wales etc and they don’t need to produce a passport for the home leg within the UK nor risk quarantine surely! Time to unite, not divide.”

@ redvendicatore added: “Its simple really, if you live in Wales you follow Welsh rules, likewise for Scotland & England residents. Germans follow German rules & not Dutch. In fact, if you dig into it, you might be surprised to find that residents in all countries fall under the rules of that country.”

# FORTWILLIAM

Do signs using both English and Gaelic make it hard to find the likes of Fort William? @ Effiedeans wrote: “I travelled by car in the Highlands the other week. I got lost endlessly searching for Fort William amongst all the An Gearasdans. The number of times I missed my turning made me wish the signs were in one language or the other, but not both.” @ velobetty wrote: “It’s easy to miss. The trick is to look for the words that say ‘ Fort William’ and follow them.”

@ jamesdoleman jeered: “Scottish Unionism means not being able to read now.” @ Mhairhunter said:

“How can you not find Fort William? Look for the bloody great mountain and it’s just up the road.”

@ Blazespage tweeted: “Govt travel advice. If going to Fort William, please remember to pack 2 weeks worth of food supplies, sleeping bag, tent, 1st aid kit, map, compass, bear spray, flares, flint fire starter and the direct phone number tae @ Effiedeans lest you get lost.”
